Certified and notarized translation in Georgia

Authorities, courts, universities and embassies usually do not accept a simple translation. They require a translation whose accuracy is formally certified. In Georgia, this typically means a notarized translation: a qualified translator translates the document and a notary certifies the translator's signature.

We prepare certified translations in the exact format your receiving authority expects — whether the document will be used in Georgia or abroad. For documents travelling abroad, we can combine the translation with an apostille or consular legalization, in the correct order, so you do not have to start over.

Every translation is done by a professional translator who works into their native language or has equivalent command of it, and is checked before certification. Names, dates, stamps and seals are rendered consistently across all your documents.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a certified and a notarized translation?

Both are official translations. In Georgia, the usual form is the notarized translation, where a notary certifies the signature of the translator. Some foreign authorities require a sworn translator from their own country — we tell you which form you need before we start.

Can you translate a document that already has an apostille?

Yes. The apostille itself is translated together with the document, so that the whole file is understandable to the receiving authority.

Do you need the original document?

For the translation, a good scan or photo is usually enough. Some procedures require the translation to be attached to the original or to a certified copy — we will tell you if that is the case.
